Senior officials of India and Vietnam confirmed their participation in the RAREMET Congress-2026

The International Congress on Rare Metals, Materials and Technologies RAREMET-2026 (RAREMET-2026), which will be held in Moscow on May 20-22, 2026, will be attended by three senior officials from India and Vietnam.

The Organizing Committee of the Congress has received official confirmations of participation:

– Sandeep Poundrik, Secretary, Ministry of Steel, India;

– S. Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, India;

– Truong Thanh Hoai, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam.

Konstantin Ivanovskikh, Deputy Director for Science and Innovation of JSC Giredmet, Co-Chairman of the Congress Organizing Committee, underlined:

"The high status of these delegates underlines the growing international importance of the Congress and confirms the interest of partner countries in developing cooperation in the field of rare and rare earth metals."

According to some experts, India is interested in cooperation in the field of critically important minerals and rare earth metals, which are an integral part of the production of high-quality special steels. Ensuring stable supplies of rare earth metals, the physical basis for the production of electronic components, is one of the main goals. In India, work is actively underway to create technologies for extracting rare earth materials from waste.

Chuong Thanh Hoai, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, is a persone who oversees industry and cooperation with Russia. He is a member of the National Steering Committee for the Development of the Semiconductor Industry and is responsible for the development of the chemical and metallurgical industries. His participation is particularly important in the context of Vietnam’s new strategy for rare-earth metals, with the country betting on deep processing of rare-earth raw materials.

Reminding, the International Congress on Rare Metals, Materials and Technologies RAREMET-2026 will be held in Moscow from May 20 to 22, 2026 at the RTU MIREA. The organizer is JSC Giredmet. RAREMET-2026 will become the largest international platform for dialogue between scientists, technologists, business representatives, and government authorities from Russia, India, China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the CIS. About 500 delegates are expected to attend the Congress. The specialized exhibition RAREMET:Expo will also be held within the framework of the Congress.
