The Mendeleev Valley Development Center Foundation will co-organize the RAREMET-2026 International Congress on Rare Metals, Materials and Technologies

The Mendeleev Valley Foundation for the Development of the Innovative Scientific and Technological Center will for the first time co-organize the International Congress on Rare Metals, Materials and Technologies RAREMET-2026 (RAREMET-2026). The event will be held from May 20 to 22, 2026 in Moscow at the RTU MIREA site. The main organizer is the Institute of JSC "Giredmet" named after N.P. Sazhin (part of the Chemical Technology Unit of JSC "Rosatom Science").

The Mendeleev Valley Foundation's participation in the Congress as a co-organizer is aimed at building a professional dialogue with the industry community and forming a link between scientific research, industrial projects and long-term investment solutions. This will ensure the realization of the accumulated scientific potential, expand the capabilities of scientists through the emergence of specific development customers, accelerate the commercialization of scientific research and further strengthen the practical focus of the Congress.

A special feature of RAREMET-2026 will be the expansion of the personnel track through career guidance and additional professional education, which meets the strategic objective of targeted training of qualified specialized personnel in accordance with the current and predictable needs of the rare metal industry. The participation of the country's leading scientific institutions is planned, including academic institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, VIMS, RTU MIREA, Mendeleev Russian Technical University, NUST MISIS, Siberian Federal University and others.

The scientific program of the Congress will include plenary and panel sessions, round tables, as well as four thematic conferences: "Mineral resources of rare metals and sustainable processing technologies" (RAREMET:Minerals), "Metallurgy, magnetic materials, powders and composite materials based on rare metals" (RAREMET:Metallurgy), "Chemistry and Technology high-purity substances based on rare metals" (RAREMET:Chemistry), "Materials and components based on rare metals in electronics, optics, photonics, converters and energy storage technologies" (RAREMET:Functional).

Special attention will be paid to the new technological realities of the industry, including digitalization and artificial intelligence, as well as environmental aspects and principles of circular economy.

The specialized exhibition RAREMET will be held within the framework of the Congress: An expo for the presentation of technologies, equipment and services, as well as a program of intergovernmental meetings (G2G) is planned. About 500 participants from Russia, China, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the CIS and other regions are expected to participate. The largest foreign delegation will be represented by India.
