Sarada Bhushan Mohanty, Chairman and Managing Director of the state company IREL Limited (India), will take part in the International Congress on Rare Metals, Materials and Technologies RAREMET-2026 (RAREMET-2026). He will be the speaker in one of the sessions of the business program.
Within the framework of the Congress, S.B. Mohanty is expected to discuss the prospects of Russian-Indian cooperation in the field of processing rare earth raw materials, the possibility of creating joint ventures and technology exchange, including taking into account the recently concluded memorandum of understanding between JSC Giredmet and the Indian TEXMiN Foundation in the field of joint development of technologies for the production of rare and rare earth metals.
IREL Limited is a key state company in India, under the jurisdiction of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). The company specializes in the extraction and processing of rare earth metals from coastal monazite sands. IREL's facilities allow processing about 10,000 tons of rare earth minerals per year. The company produces high-purity oxides and compounds of lanthanum, cerium, neodymium-praseodymium, samarium, gadolinium, yttrium, as well as strategic materials for the nuclear industry. The company has four large production units. IREL products are exported to the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany, Norway and Japan.
The International Congress on Rare Metals, Materials and Technologies RAREMET-2026 will be held in Moscow from May 20 to 22, 2026 at the RTU MIREA. The organizer is Giredmet JSC. RAREMET-2026 will be the largest international forum for dialogue between scientists, technologists, business representatives, and government authorities from Russia, India, China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the CIS. About 500 delegates are expected to attend. The specialized exhibition RAREMET will also be held within the framework of the Congress.:An expo where participants will be able to present their technological solutions, equipment and services for the rare metal industry.
